Join us for a fun habitat restoration event at Kirby Nature Center on Sunday October 6th from 1:30-3:00 pm. This month, we will be focusing on the Tree of Heaven. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about its origins, ecology, how to identify and control it by Frilling or Girdling. During the event, we will be hiking approximately 2 miles on moderate trails. Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the woods and the weather. We will provide the necessary tools and supplies. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, snacks, sun protection, bug spray, and any other personal items you might need.
