Join us for a fun habitat restoration event at Bender Mountain Nature Preserve on Saturday, September 7th from 1:30-3:00 pm. This month, we will be focusing on the Japanese Chaff Flower. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about its origins, ecology, how to identify and control it. During the event, we will be cutting chaff flower, gathering seeds, and treating stumps. Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the woods and the weather. We will provide the necessary tools and supplies. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, snacks, sun protection, bug spray, and any other personal items you might need. We will meet at the Darby Cemetery, and parking is available at the Delhi Post-Acute Center located at 5999 Delhi Rd.
