We are proud to welcome James Johnson as our new Volunteer & Events & Land Manager. James will be helping to organize fun volunteer and educational events while helping to maintain and restore our preserves.
James grew up in Northern Kentucky and went to Northern Kentucky University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. He also attended the University of Michigan and received his Master of Science in Ecosystem Science and Management. Over the last 10 years, he has worked in many different environmental roles. James has done restoration work with NKU’s Center for Environmental Restoration. He has also helped write two management plans for nature preserves owned by Scio Township and the Michigan Audubon. In his free time, he enjoys birding, hiking, reading, and playing videogames with friends. James is excited to be a part of the Western Wildlife Corridor!
