Celebrate the arrival of spring at the annual Flower-A-Thon event!
Join us in preserving our forests by searching for spring wildflowers. Throughout the week, teams or individuals will explore our preserves, document the incredible plant diversity found within the Corridor. Exciting prizes will be awarded for the greatest number of species counted, the most preserves visited, and more!
The Flower-A-Thon kickoff offers everyone an opportunity to gather, connect, and get excited for the week ahead. At the kickoff, we will distribute species lists, preserve maps, and review the guidelines for the week.
We’ll also provide tips for spotting and identifying wildflowers, help you set up on iNaturalist, and introduce the guided hikes available throughout the Flower-A-Thon week.
After the kickoff, we will lead a guided hike around Kirby Nature Preserve to help everyone get started with counting wildflower species. It’s the perfect way to kick off a week full of fun!
