Western Wildlife Corridor is thrilled to announce that on March 31, 2023, we closed on the purchase of an 11.2-acre property in Delhi Township! This undeveloped land in the center of the corridor is on Rapid Run Road, near Hillside Avenue, and is across the street from our existing Whitetail Woods Nature Preserve. Given that this parcel is an undeveloped forested area, and so close to an existing preserve, it’s a great example of an extension of a habitat corridor.
This purchase didn’t happen overnight! We extend our sincere thanks to all WWC volunteers and members, who enabled this success!
This purchase was made possible in part through a grant by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program. This Clean Ohio grant covered approximately 74% of the purchase price. WWC also received other donations, to help fund the purchase. But we’re not done yet!
We are running a fundraising campaign to offset the rest of the purchase price, and we need your help! If you would like to support this campaign, please click on the button below to make a donation.

Please write on the check that it’s for Rapid Run.
