Located at 6602 Hillside Avenue, the preserve protects wooded hillside habitat, native plants, and wildlife as part of the larger effort to create a connected conservation corridor along the Ohio River Valley. It features old-growth trees, a pristine stream, and an old agricultural field.<\/p><p data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"954\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The preserve is named in honor of the Sisson family, whose commitment to land preservation and habitat restoration helped shape the Western Wildlife Corridor. Originally protecting 19 acres of the former Pessler Farm, Sisson Nature Preserve was later expanded with a 4.4-acre addition supported by the Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program, generous donors, members, and community partners.
