We do this for a lot of reasons; to protect and preserve habitat for local flora and fauna, to provide opportunities for people to access nature, and to offset and balance the environmental impacts and effects of development around us.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernwildlifecorridor.org\/index.php\/general-info\/\">Western Wildlife Corridor now protects over 400 acres of natural habitat<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align); color: var(--ast-global-color-2); font-size: 1.25rem; background-color: var( --e-global-color-4c09bdd );\">How do we Restore Habitat?<\/strong><\/p><\/div><div><p>Volunteers and staff work to restore native ecosystems by removing invasive plant species and allowing native forests and wildlife to recover. We provide educational opportunities for all ages in hands-on situations, from children\u2019s activities to hikes and seminars led by some of the brightest minds in their fields.\u00a0 We\u2019re very fortunate to have such a diverse and talented core group of volunteers and leaders.
