registration form 2016 flower-a-thon
Our eleventh annual Flower-a-thon is on April 30 this year. For the Flower-a-thon, wildflower experts will lead groups through the forest in our nature preserves to identify as many wildflowers and other flowering trees and shrubs as possible. The hikes will give participants an opportunity to observe, not only beautiful native wildflowers, but also panoramic views of the Ohio River Valley and Kentucky hillsides.
The Flower-a-thon will start as usual at Embshoff Woods at 8 am with breakfast, and morning hikes will leave from there. Each participant will be given a coupon that can be used to purchase lunch at the festival at the Kirby Nature Preserve. Participants can enjoy the displays and purchase native plants at the festival during the lunch period. In the afternoon participants can join additional hikes led by experts.
